OUR RESPONSE TO COVID-19
In line with the directives from the Government regarding the response to Covid-19 pandemic, we have taken the decision to continue to operate Cranleigh Food Bank and we will be operating the usual session this Friday 10th of April from 10:00 to 12:00 noon. We will continue to assess the situation on a weekly basis.
In order to protect our volunteers from the spread of COVID-19, we will operate with the minimum personnel and will avoid contact with all clients.
To obtain a voucher, please EMAIL any of the agencies – CAB, Health Centre, Schools, etc… - who will be able to provide us with a note telling us you qualify. We would prefer to deliver the food parcel – to be left on the doorstep - in order to avoid contact however, if you must come, we ask clients to come to Foodbank via St-James Place (the front door will be locked) where we will ask that you stand 2m apart along the road – we will fill one voucher at the time and leave the parcel on the steps where you will be able to collect. Please note that there will be access to the building, under no circumstances (no water, no toilet, etc…).
We have been extremely busy and our stocks are getting depleted so please consider donating as we are in urgent need of the following:
UHT MILK, SUGAR, TINNED FRUITS, TINNED TOMATOES, TINNED MEAT, RICE PUDDINGS, CUSTARD and CLEANING PRODUCTS
Donations can be left in our two collection points: orange box in front of the tills at Sainsbury’s or in the trolley at the front of the Coop.
We are facing unknown and unprecedented needs in the coming months. This is not a crisis that we can tackle alone and we thank you for your continued support during this crisis. The Leading Team of the Foodbank are in constant communication to adjust the strategy in response to the crisis and we will keep you updated on our progress as it unfolds across social media.
Demonstrating God's love by providing food, support and a listening ear
to people in need in Cranleigh
and the surrounding villages.
